What Is Something You Learned That Made Everything That Came After Easier?

When I had my first business I learned that anything worth doing is not an easy job. It might mean long hours, it might get you into uncomfortable situations, and it will help you go over your boundaries, or stop at the boundary if the passion is not great enough.

After having my business I came to see the world with new eyes. Work places are no longer black and white. Employment, job descriptions, requirements, and my own contribution to the success of the company are cleaner, and it no longer runs my positive energy the way it did before.

I reached a level where I understand both the heart and the mind. The business and the individual. And I also understood the power of the individual in moving the business.

In the years of my first startup I learned a lot of different skills: how to create a website, how to run a business, how to negotiate, and how to be fair towards my employees. Most of these skills I later reused in my career, but I see the experience as a whole as the most precious learning of all. I already knew, and I still realise, that I can do anything I put my mind to. But now I also know that without an extraordinary desire, need is not enough.
