What Is the Most Rewarding Job You've Ever Had? Why?

The most rewarding job I had was my third startup. This business was not especially profitable, but I worked together with my closest friends on an idea I truly believed in. We managed to implement top level strategies, offer our customers a personal and engaging experience, and we were recognised for our idea and execution by industry leaders.

That startup was Bibo Box: a monthly subscription box of games and creative activities for children aged 3 to 6, built in Cluj with four other co-founders. We put in about 10,000 euros of our own money, split between marketing and equipment, spent 2017 shaping the concept, and opened pre-sales in June 2018. The first boxes went out that October.

We were ambitious about where it could go: 300 boxes a month by the end of that first year, and thousands more the year after. Whether or not we hit every number, watching an idea we built from nothing reach real families every month is still the part I'm proudest of.

The business had elements I wasn't familiar with before, and because of this I found it even more exciting. In the end, even after closing the business, I am still very proud of the period it ran and the way we managed to carry it out.
